Who can use this curriculum?

This curriculum is free to use for anyone who wants to! The purpose of this project was to make easy to access, free content for students, so anyone can use it including teachers, parents, home-school teachers, organizations, etc.

Who is the target audience?

The target audience is 2nd-3rd grade elementary students, but anyone of any grade level can use this curriculum. This curriculum involves an optional course on LA Species for those kids in the LA area to become familiar with animals in their own backyard.

Why were animals chosen to be the focal point of this curricula?

 Studying animals is an ideal entry into STEM fields, as most children are familiar with animals and have an innate curiosity and fascination with organisms. For this reason, this course can act as a gateway to a broader interest in science.
